Top 20 Claude Skills for Go-to-Market Strategy (2026)
The 20 best Claude skills for go-to-market: ICP, market sizing, positioning. What each does, why it made the list, and how to install it.

Claude skills for go-to-market turn Claude into a specific researcher: one for your ICP, one for market sizing, one for competitors. For a B2B SME, the three worth installing first are ICP Definer, Customer Research and GTM Action Thinker: a narrow profile tied to a trigger, the buyer's own words, and a pressure-test before a euro gets spent.
Each step has a done-when line. The next skill only earns its turn once the previous one passes.
Done when: you have buyer quotes in their own words, not a guess written in a meeting room.
Done when: one narrow profile tied to a real trigger, not a broad persona covering half the market.
Done when: one shared positioning document exists that every later skill can read first.
Done when: the plan has been pressure-tested against a real objection, before you spend on it.
What is a Claude skill (and what it is not)
A Claude skill is a folder of instructions, most often a SKILL.md file plus reference material, that Claude reads automatically when a task matches it. It is not a plugin that runs on its own, not an API integration, and not an agent with independent access to your accounts. Installing a skill changes what Claude knows to do inside a conversation. It does not connect to your CRM, send an email or make a decision without you in the room.

Find and prioritize who to sell to
ICP Definer
It defines and prioritizes a narrow, trigger-based ideal customer profile instead of a broad persona written in a workshop. It starts where we start: a profile tied to something that is actually happening at the account, not a list of firmographic filters picked because they were easy to query. For a B2B ICP, the trigger is the difference between a list and a hypothesis worth testing.

Customer Research
It runs and synthesizes customer interviews, surveys and review mining into a single research base. It pulls your buyers' own words out of interviews, reviews and calls, so the offer and every email that follows can reuse them instead of inventing new language.
Install: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill customer-research. Source: github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills.
Ideal Customer Profile
It defines an ICP from research data using demographics alongside jobs-to-be-done. It made the list as a second lens on the same question, useful to cross-check a trigger-based profile before it gets treated as final.
Install: claude plugin marketplace add phuryn/pm-skills then claude plugin install pm-go-to-market@pm-skills. Source: github.com/phuryn/pm-skills.
Beachhead Segment
It identifies the first beachhead market segment for a product launch. It forces the narrow-first discipline most SMEs skip: prove the offer in one segment before fanning out across a wider niche that was never actually tested.
Install: claude plugin marketplace add phuryn/pm-skills then claude plugin install pm-go-to-market@pm-skills. Source: github.com/phuryn/pm-skills.
Persona Definer
It identifies and prioritizes the contact-level buyer persona for outbound. An ICP names the company. This names the human inside it who actually opens the email, which is a separate job most GTM checklists skip past.

Understand the account and the buyer's pain
Pain Identifier
It identifies a target company's likely pain points from growth and hiring signals. It turns a public signal, a hire, a growth curve, into a working hypothesis about what a specific account is struggling with, before anyone picks up the phone.
Install: npx github:l3mpire/claude-skills pain-identifier. Source: github.com/l3mpire/claude-skills.
Persona Insights Analysis
It analyzes sales call transcripts to build a structured buyer persona report. It is the only skill on this list that mines your own sales calls instead of the open web, so the persona reflects what your prospects actually said, not a guess dressed up as research.
Install: npx github:l3mpire/claude-skills persona-insights-analysis. Source: github.com/l3mpire/claude-skills.
Deep Company Analyser
It extracts customer pain points and buying language from a company's public sources. It pulls the exact words a target company uses about its own problems on its own site, which is the language a good first email should echo back rather than reinvent.
Install: npx github:l3mpire/claude-skills deep-company-analyser. Source: github.com/l3mpire/claude-skills.
Account Research
It builds a purpose-driven company intelligence brief for a single target account. It made the list for the handful of named accounts that matter enough to research one at a time, rather than the whole list at once.
Install: claude install explorium-ai/gtm-skills. Source: github.com/explorium-ai/gtm-skills.
Enrich and Research Account
It resolves a company, enriches it, and produces an attack strategy in one pass. It goes one step past a brief and proposes an actual angle to open with, useful once an account is confirmed worth the effort.
Install: npx skills add openfunnel/openfunnel-skills --skill enrich-and-research. Source: github.com/openfunnel/openfunnel-skills.
Size the market and read the competition
Market Sizing
It calculates TAM and SAM for an ICP against a 150 million company dataset. It puts a real number behind the ICP: how many companies actually match it, so a niche gets chosen or rejected on a count, not a guess.
Install: claude install explorium-ai/gtm-skills. Source: github.com/explorium-ai/gtm-skills.
Market Research EDP
It researches a SaaS market to find the metrics that create buying urgency. It looks for the specific number that makes a category urgent to act on now, rather than producing a general market overview nobody acts on.
Install: npx github:l3mpire/claude-skills market-research-edp. Source: github.com/l3mpire/claude-skills.
Market Research & Analysis
It produces TAM/SAM sizing, competitive landscape and consulting-grade market reports, the broader version of the two skills above, useful when the output needs to read like a report a board would accept.
Install: npx skills add manojbajaj95/claude-gtm-plugin --skill market-research-analysis. Source: github.com/manojbajaj95/claude-gtm-plugin.
Competitor Research
It builds a fact-led competitive brief or battlecard on named rivals. It builds the battlecard a salesperson will actually use on a call, tied to named competitors instead of a generic landscape slide nobody opens twice.
Install: claude install explorium-ai/gtm-skills. Source: github.com/explorium-ai/gtm-skills.
Competitor Profiling
It builds structured competitor profiles from a list of competitor URLs. It is the fastest of the competitor skills on this list, feed it a list of URLs and it returns a structured profile of each one for a first pass across several rivals at once.
Install: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill competitor-profiling. Source: github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills.
Turn research into a position and a plan
Product Marketing Context
It builds the shared product, audience and positioning document that other skills read first. Every other skill on this list works better once this document exists. It is the file the rest of the stack reads before doing its own job.
Install: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill product-marketing. Source: github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills.
GTM Action Thinker
It takes a GTM idea and turns it into an executable plan. It pressure-tests an idea before you spend on it. We run the same check before every campaign.
Install: npx github:l3mpire/claude-skills gtm-action-thinker. Source: github.com/l3mpire/claude-skills.
Go-to-Market Strategy
It plans GTM motion, positioning, channel strategy and phased launch execution. It turns the ICP, the offer and the market data above into a single phased plan, the document that actually gets acted on week to week.
Install: npx skills add manojbajaj95/claude-gtm-plugin --skill go-to-market-strategy. Source: github.com/manojbajaj95/claude-gtm-plugin.
Marketing Plan
It produces a full AARRR-structured marketing plan customized to budget and team stage. Built around acquisition, activation, retention, referral and revenue, it is useful once the strategy exists and needs to become a plan sized to a real budget and a real team.
Install: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill marketing-plan. Source: github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills.
Launch Strategy
It plans a product launch or feature announcement, including Product Hunt and waitlists. It is the last mile: once the ICP, the offer and the plan exist, this is what turns them into an actual announcement moment.
Install: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill launch. Source: github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills.
The order we would install them in
Research comes before naming, naming comes before positioning, and positioning gets pressure-tested before anything gets a budget. In that order:
- Customer Research: get the buyer's own words first.
- ICP Definer: turn those words into a narrow, trigger-based profile.
- Persona Definer: name the human inside that company who reads the email.
- Pain Identifier and Deep Company Analyser: build a pain hypothesis once you have named accounts.
- Market Sizing: check how many companies actually match the ICP.
- Competitor Research and Competitor Profiling: know who else is already in the room.
- Product Marketing Context: write the one shared positioning document.
- GTM Action Thinker: pressure-test the plan before spending on it.
- Go-to-Market Strategy and Marketing Plan: turn the pressure-tested idea into a phased plan sized to your team.
- Launch Strategy: plan the announcement once everything above is in place.
Account Research, Enrich and Research Account, Market Research EDP, Market Research & Analysis, Ideal Customer Profile and Beachhead Segment sit alongside steps 1, 4 and 5 as second passes, reached once the fast version raises a question it could not answer. This is the same sequencing behind a full B2B go-to-market strategy for SMEs: a sequence, not a menu run all at once.
What we left out, and why
- GTM Strategy (phuryn): the same job as Go-to-Market Strategy above, from a different publisher. Two skills doing the same job add a choice to make, not a result to gain.
- Competitor Finder (lemlist): overlaps with Competitor Research and Competitor Profiling, which already cover that job on this list.
- Product-Market Fit Analysis (manojbajaj95): built around a Sean Ellis survey, which needs an existing user base large enough to survey. Most SMEs starting this sequence do not have one yet.
- Marketing Council (Corey Haines): simulates a debate between fictional marketer personas. Entertaining to run, but it does not produce a deliverable you can hand to a client or act on directly.
- Enterprise Account Research (OpenFunnel): built for mapping which team inside a large enterprise owns a given pain point. Most B2B SME target accounts are not that complex, so the extra depth goes unused.
What a skill will not do for you
A skill writes the document. It does not decide your ICP from your actual closed deals, it does not know which trigger correlates with a real reply in your market, and it does not own the weekly rhythm that turns a plan into pipeline. Run ICP Definer twice on the same prompt with a slightly different framing and you can get two different profiles, both plausible, neither validated against a single deal you have actually won.
That gap, between a plausible profile and one backed by your own closed-won and closed-lost accounts, is what a person still has to close. It is also most of what I install for a client at the start of an engagement: an ICP checked against real deals and a weekly number someone owns, not a document that sits in a folder after the first draft.
FAQ
Are Claude skills free?
Most of the skills on this list are open source and free to install, listed under an MIT or similar license, or with no license file at all in the source repository. Claude itself, the model running the skill, is a separate product with its own pricing.
Do Claude skills work in Claude.ai, or only in Claude Code?
Both, with differences in how they get installed. Claude Code installs a skill as a local folder or plugin using the commands listed above. Claude.ai supports skills through its own settings, and the exact steps vary by plan, so check Anthropic's current documentation for the Claude.ai path if you are not using Claude Code.
How do I install a Claude skill?
Copy the install command shown for that skill, run it in a terminal where Claude Code is set up, and Claude will read the SKILL.md file the next time a matching task comes up. No separate account or API key is needed beyond what Claude Code already uses.
Can a skill touch my data or my CRM?
Not on its own. A skill is instructions, not a live connection. It can only read or write data that the surrounding session already has access to, for instance a file you have open or a CRM connected through a separate integration you control. Installing a skill does not create that access by itself.
Are third-party skills safe to install?
Read the SKILL.md file before installing anything from a publisher you do not already trust. It is a plain text file that tells you exactly what the skill will try to do, and it takes less time to read than the skill takes to run.
The full G list has every verified skill in this category, gated behind a short form. If you want a read on where your own go-to-market stands before installing anything, the free diagnostic scores it in about four minutes.
