A Claude skill is a folder of instructions, and sometimes scripts, that Claude reads before doing a specific job, the same way a new hire reads a playbook before their first cold email. It is not a plugin that runs on its own, not a guarantee of output quality, and not a data source by itself: most outbound skills still need a real list, a real CRM, or a real sending tool behind them to do anything.

The order we would install them in

For one of my clients, I built a B2B pipeline from zero to 3 million euros in qualified opportunities in 18 months, with no budget and no team to lean on at the start. The lesson that pipeline taught me is the same one behind this order: the list and the signal decide more of the result than the sentence you write, so install them first.

1. List first. Install List Builder or List Building (Prospeo edition), whichever matches the data layer you already pay for. A ranked list beats a clever email sent to the wrong account every time.
2. Signal second. Add Spot People Changing Jobs and Intent Signal Analyzer so the list gets ranked, not just exported.
3. Personalization third. Install AI Personalization Prompts and Personalization Hooks once the signal exists, so the personalization line has something real to point at.
4. Copy fourth. Install Copywriting First Touch and Copywriting Follow-Up. Writing the email before the list and signal exist is the most common reason a sequence reads generic.
5. Channel fifth. Add a LinkedIn skill once the email sequence is running, as a second channel, not a replacement for the first.

What we left out, and why

• Cold Email Templates (34). A 34-template swipe file is a useful reference, but installed on day one it pushes toward copying a template instead of writing to the trigger you just found. Read it after Copywriting First Touch, not before.
• Bridgebound Relationship Triggers. Thirty-nine relationship-based triggers is thorough, but it overlaps heavily with Intent Signal Analyzer and Trigger Finder, already on this list. Three signal skills is enough before you need a fourth.
• Copywriting Manager Sequence. A persona-specific sequence variant is worth installing once you know which buyer persona actually replies to you, not before you have that data.
• LinkedIn Ads Strategist. This is a paid acquisition skill, not an outbound prospecting one. It belongs in a paid ads list, not a cold email list, even though it shares the same publisher as several skills above.

Paid ads, SMS, events, and influencer skills from the same catalog are left out for the same reason: they answer a different question than "how do I get a qualified reply from a cold list."

What a skill will not do for you

A skill writes the email. It does not own your sending domains, warm them up, or watch your deliverability the week a provider changes its spam filter. It does not know that your market is small enough that burning 200 domains a month in a single country will make every prospect recognize the pattern within a year. It does not run the weekly rhythm: the list refresh, the reply review, the decision to keep a segment or drop it.
